The PADI Scuba Diver course is another great option for beginners. It takes approximately 2 days to complete and covers various chapters from the PADI Open Water manual. This includes some training in the sea (open water) and swimming pool training (confined water) sessions. Confined training is completed on-site at the Tenerife Scuba Diving swimming pool. Once you have completed this you will receive the PADI Scuba Diver certification!
This is a limited certification that allows you to dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres under the direct supervision of a PADI professional. This certification does not expire, unlike the PADI Discover Scuba Diving. As with all scuba diving activities, you do need to be in good health and any health issues and certain prescription medication may require a medical certificate from your doctor. You will be required to complete a medical questionnaire when you arrive at the centre.
To start this course you must be aged 10 years or over. You can then upgrade from this course to the PADI Open Water Diver certification at anytime, by completing the remaining knowledge chapters, confined and open water training sessions and final exam.
