Today is Lisa's last day of diving with us here at Tenerife Dive. Lisa has come such a long way since her arrival and leaves us a knowledgeable PADI Divemaster who will be missed by the Tenerife Dive Team. I am sure that all of you that have had the pleasure of diving with Lisa during her 3 month stay with us wish her well for the future, some of us will be seeing her again very soon as we head off to the Red Sea at the end of June!

Tomorrow is Lisa's last day of diving with us after completing her Divemaster course with us. She has done such fantastic job since arriving in March to complete her Open Course for which many of you who have dived with her will agree! Well done Lisa.

With the sea on the west coast of Tenerife being rough today our dives where just out of the marina at Las Galletas to The Mushrooms and The Rays. There seems to be so much marine life around at the moment. We were even fortunate enough to spot this Dotted Sea Slug, these grow to a maximum of 7cm in length and feed on sponges. Also our resident Green Turtle at The Rays was particularly friendly. A great end to Roy's diving holiday and we look forward to his return in the near future!

Easter Sunday already and the clocks went forward last night! Nearly 30ºC today and two great dives at Catalufa and The Ruins. There seems to be so much marine life around at the moment.

Catalufa being true to it's name given the English translation being Glasseye was teaming with them. The Glasseye likes to hide in caves or under ledges during daylight hours and are given their name by their large eyes which look like glass especially when caught in the light of a torch. This picture of a Glasseye was taken by one of our PADI IDC candidates and now PADI Instructor, Elio.

A fantastic days diving, firstly at The Mushrooms where we were joined by a Dusky Grouper! This one in comparison to the big ones which can grow up to a length of 1.5 metres was small, probably 70-80 cm.

Over recent years sightings of these have become infrequent which makes the sighting of this one that little more special.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Another day spent in the underwater office here in Tenerife at our new dive site for which we are getting closer to thinking up a name!

Many moray's and fish in their hundreds along with a free swimming Angel Shark that came past. This site just gets better and better, ideally suited for people with the Advanced Open Water certification it's a large rock formation with its deepest point at 40 metres and shallowest area at 11 metres! Don't forget to request a visit there during your next trip with us.

Today we had a great couple of dives with Ally, Juan Ramon and Jan. First dive we were off to The Mushrooms, then off to see our faithful friends the rays, with a flying visit from the friendly resident turtle. We also spotted a Scorpionfish hiding away and a baby Triggerfish.

Have a ´fish-tastic´week everyone!b2ap3_thumbnail_AMBA0479.JPG

A great Friday was had with conducting the PADI Wreck Instructor  Specialty  for Jan and Julian as well as Andy, Sam, Dave, Ian, Jackie, Peter and Norman enjoying a fantastic dive where they where joined by a group of Wahoo's. Congratulations also go out to the Hedman family who loved the PADI Discover Diving program, once they had completed the skills in the pool it was off to Yellow Mountain where they loved seeing the cuttlefish and baby stingray which was having a sleep under a rock. Well done to you all!

Saturday it was off to Tabaiba for a shore dive with Andy, Sam and Ally. This is a fantastic wreck dive with plenty of marine life and the  opportunity  to penetrate the wreck into the engine room.

Have a great Sunday and a Happy Mothers Day.

After having spent Monday and Tuesday on dry land following a storm that hit the island producing some very impressive rough seas which where fascinating to watch yesterday we headed up to the east coast to Abades for a shore dive where Russell completed his 100th dive. Today it was back on the boat with two dives to The Mushrooms and The Rays where Andy also completed his 100th dive! It was great to be back to the calm seas and great visibility. Our intern Sam took some great video today at The Rays of our friendly turtle who seemed very pleased to have us back in the water to keep him company.

The weather forecasters may have been right about the weather causing rougher than normal sea's. However underneath the waves the visibility today was still 20+ metres during our two dives at The Arches and The Rays. Welcome to both Russ and Dave who are having their first diving holiday in Tenerife. Also welcome to Helen from New Zealand who experienced her first sea dive away from New Zealand waters where she informed us that the water is a lot colder than our present 20`C.

Have a good Sunday afternoon everyone!
